Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe
South Africa shares it’s northern boundary with Botswana,Namibia and Zimbabwe thus offering an ideal gateway to these three countries which together provide a series of eco-systems that support an abundance of animal,bird and plant life.
Botswana is country for the intrepid traveler, much of it is a roadless wilderness of savannah, wetlands and salt pans - a series of vast landscapes under an endless sky.The huge sweep of the Kalahari desert, the swamps and flood plains of the chobe river, the islands and channels of the 15000 square kilometers of the okavango delta,Moremi Game Reserve and the great salty desert of the Makgadikgadi teem with an enormous variety of wildlife.
The Okavango delta alone,one of the wildest and most starkly beautiful resrves in the whole of Africa, home to 450 bird and 1000 plant species,as well as crocodile,hippo,buffalo,zebra,wildest,giraffe,elephant and kudu.
The 1.5 million hectares of the Okavango delta-where the Okavango River flows in from Angola and Namibia form one of the most complex and fascinating eco-systems in Africa.
Chobe is famous for its wide variety of wildlife and huge herds of elephants, whilst the Chobe river offers excellent fishing – there are over 90 species.The dense woodlands of Moremi Game Reserve with its giant acacia, provide habitat to a diverse range of dry and wetland animals.
