4 Days Direct Safari to Mt. Kenya (Sirimon Trail)

Day 1: 

Departure from Nairobi is at 0900hrs to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:

After breakfast undertake a vehicle transfer to Sirimon route and hike to Old Moses camp for overnight stay (3300m) 6 to 8hrs hike

Day 3:

Hike to Shipton’s camp (4200m) for overnight stay (5 to 7 hrs hike)

Day 4:

Attempt Lenana (4985m) at 0300hrs and descend directly to the main road with transfer back to Nairobi with hiking time being approximately 11 hrs.

4 Days Contract Safari Sirimon out Naro Moru

Day 1:

Depart from Nairobi at 0900hrs to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon route hike to old Moses camp (3300m) for overnight (6 to 8 hrs hike)

Day 3:

Hike Shipton’s camp (4200m) for overnight (5 to 7 hrs hike)

Day 4:

Attempt Lenana (4985m) at 0300hrs and descend directly to main road with transfer back to Nairobi hiking time approximately 11 hours

Day 3:

Day 4:

Attempt on Pt. Lenana(4895m) at 0300hrs and descent leisurely to Met section with a sumptuous dinner and a cool overnight stay.

Day 5:

Descend the mountain to Naro Moru town with transfer back to Nairobi

Chogoria Trail (6 Days)“Easy Pace”

Day 1:

Departure from Nairobi is at 0900hrs hrs to Nanyuki for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

After breakfast vehicle transfer to Sirimon route hike to Old Moses Camp for overnight (5895m) 6 to 8 hrs hike.

Day 3:

Attempt Pt. Lenana lunch en route (4985m) and descend to mintos hut for overnight.

Day 5:

Hike leisurely to Chogoria park gate (3020m) for over night.

Day 6:

Descend leisurely to Chogoria town for transfer back to Nairobi

6 DAYS /5 NIGHTS MT KENYA – TIMAU TRAIL (Camping Safari)

“Rugged & Raw”

This expedition is designed for those who have an adventurous spirit & would like to explore the less trodden paths of the mountain. This will give you an unparallel experience of the mountain with a tincture of exclusiveness as you will avoid the crowded paths of the mountain.

This special type of itinerary will give you the opportunity to engage in fishing & even enjoy miniature golf up the mountain.

This is an absolute blend of adventure and a touch of class.

Day 1: Nairobi – Marania Camp

You will be picked at 6 am for a road transfer to Timau.You will stop at Nanyuki town for lunch on your way to Timau.

The first night shall be spent at Allan Campsite. This shall be an easy day as you will spend acclimatizing at the camp

Day 2: Allan Camp to Majors Camp

Your day shall start at 7.30 am where you will trek from Allan Camp to Majors campsite.

 

Day 3: Majors Campsite – Simba Tarn

Your day shall start at 7.30 am & you will trek to Simba Tarn, one of the sides of the Mountain which is rarely explored. You will have one of the best views of the major peaks of the mountain. You will camp at the Simba Tarn

Day 4: Simba Tarn – Pt Lenana (4,985 M) - Lake Michelson

Your day shall start at 3 am for an attempt to Point Lenana; our main aim shall be to ascend to Point Lenana by Sunrise (6.30 Am). We shall later descend to Lake Michelson where we shall have breakfast & spend the rest of the day fishing at the lake & playing some miniature Golf.

Day 5: Lake Michelson – Lake Ellis

We shall trek to Lake Ellis & explore more of the Mt Kenya Lakes & their delicate ecosystem. We shall camp at Lake Ellis for the night.

Day 6: Lake Ellis – Meru Bandas – Nairobi

We shall trek to Meru Bandas, where we shall have lunch & later be met by our tour vans & be transferred back to Nairobi.

7 DAYS /6 NIGHTS MT KENYA – TIMAU TRAIL (Camping Safari)

“Royal Trek”

This expedition is designed for those who have an adventurous spirit & would like to explore the less trodden paths of the mountain. This will give you an unparallel experience of the mountain with a tincture of exclusiveness as you will avoid the crowded paths of the mountain.

The trek is christened “Royal Trek” as Prince William actually engaged Kate Middleton at Rutundu Camp. During our trek, we shall actually camp within the banks of lake Rutundu.

This kind of itinerary will even give you the opportunity to engage in fishing & even miniature golf up the mountain.

This is an absolute blend of adventure and a touch of class.

Day 1: Nairobi – Marania Camp/ Allan Campsite

You will be picked at 6 am for a road transfer to Timau.You will stop at Nanyuki town for a sumptuous lunch on your way to Timau.

The first night shall be spent at Allan Campsite. This shall be an easy day as you will spend acclimatizing at the camp

Day 2: Allan Camp - Rutundu Camp

Your day shall start at 7.30 am where you will trek from Allan Camp to Rutundu campsite. We shall spend the day fishing at Lake Rutundu.

After breakfast, you will trek to Lake Ellis Campsite where you will be accommodated for the night.

Day 4: Lake Ellis – Mintos Campsite

After an English breakfast you will trek to Mintos campsite where you will camp for the day.

Day 5: Mintos Campsite – Lake Michelson – Mintos Camp site

You will spend this day acclimatizing within Mintos campsite & you will have time to visit Lake Michelson where you will engage in fishing. You will later head back to Mintos Campsite where you will be accommodated for the night.

Day 6: MIntos – Pt Lenana (4,985 M) - Meru Bandas

Your day shall start at 3 am for an attempt to Point Lenana; our main aim shall be to ascend to Point Lenana by Sunrise (6.30 Am). We shall trek to Meru Bandas, where you will be accommodated for the night. You will have an opportunity to visit “Nithi Falls”. For this night you will be accommodated at the Meru bandas where you will have a hot shower & enjoy some Log fire as you unwind.

Day 7: Meru Bandas – Nairobi

After an English breakfast, you will trek the first 10 Km out of the park, where you will be picked by a 4x4 Land-rover for the rest of the 22 Km drive out of the park. At Chogoria town we shall have a mouth-watering lunch & later be transferred back to Nairobi.

10 DAYS/9 NIGHTS SNOWS OF MOUNT KENYA – KAMWETI TRAIL (Camping Safari)

“Pure Adrenalin”

This expedition is designed for those who have an adventurous spirit & would like to explore the less trodden paths of the mountain. This will give you an unparallel experience of the mountain with a tincture of exclusiveness as you will avoid the crowded paths of the mountain.

This kind of itinerary will even give you the opportunity to engage in fishing & even miniature golf up the mountain.

This is an absolute blend of adventure and a touch of class.

Day 1: Nairobi – Forest Lodge

You will be picked at 6 am for a road transfer to Kirinyaga where you will be accommodated at the Forest Lodge. Upon arrival, you will have time to unpack & have lunch. The afternoon will be spent hiking in the forest trails near Forest Lodge.

66823105Day 2: Forest Lodge - Kamweti Camp

Your day shall start at 7.30 am where you will trek from Forest Lodge to Kamweti campsite.

Day 3: Kamweti Campsite – Sagana Camp

Your day shall start at 7.30 am & you will trek to Sagana Camp

Day 4: Sagana Camp – Thigu Camp

This day you will trek & camp at the banks of River Thigu

Day 5: Thigu Campsite – Hornel Camp

You will trek from Thigu Camp to Hornel where you will have an opportunity to fish

Day 6: Hornel Camp – American Camp

You will trek from Hornel Camp to American Campsite where you will spend the night. At this moment all the major peaks will be extremely visible.

Day 7: American Camp – Pt Lenana (4,985 M) - Lake Michelson

Your day shall start at 3 am for an attempt to Point Lenana; our main aim shall be to ascend to Point Lenana by Sunrise (6.30 Am). We shall later descend to Lake Michelson where we shall have an English breakfast & spend the rest of the day fishing at the lake & playing some miniature Golf.

Day 8: Lake Michelson – Lake Ellis

We shall trek to Lake Ellis & explore more of the Mt Kenya Lakes & their delicate ecosystem. We shall camp at Lake Ellis for the night.
